Gather Round the Gardens
Groups can adopt a public flower garden. The City will
provide the materials. The group will plant and maintain the bed for one
year. The City will install a sign at the site recognizing the group.
These projects require a few hours of time each month during the spring
and summer to plant flowers, pull weeds and mulch beds. This can be a
great opportunity to meet other gardening enthusiasts, learn more about
plant care, gain experience in garden design and plant selection, and
beautify our community.
Adopt a Park, Playground, Trail or Boulevard
Park Pride Program
Groups and individuals can adopt a public area to help maintain. This could be ongoing throughout the year or a one-time event. This would be a great opportunity for Scout Groups, Civil Groups, Church Groups and School Groups.
Donations for benches, trees or other park accessories to be placed on public areas throughout the City, can be made by contacting the Parks & Rec Administrative Office at 839-5032.
Eau Claire Cares: Families Volunteering Together
Attention Families: Are you looking for a fun family friendly
evening out in the park? Then join us in July for Eau Claire Cares, a City of Eau Claire community service event. We will be creating tied fleece blankets, making cards of hope for those who are hospitalized, assemble birthday buckets, plus more fun activities which will help others in our community. Learn more about volunteering and have fun while doing it!
Operation Blanket Eau Claire
Operation Blanket Eau Claire is looking for volunteers to create blankets - knitted, crocheted, fleece or quilted. These blankets will be distributed to several non-profit agencies who help people in need in our community. We will have several work sessions over the summer to help create the tied fleece blankets. These blankets will be distributed on Make A Difference Day Eau Claire scheduled for October 22, 2016. 2016 Flyer
Make A Difference Day Eau Claire
On October 22, 2016, at Boyd Parks from 8am-1pm, the City of Eau Claire will join other communities in the United States for Make A Difference Day. This national event is the largest national day of community service. We will have several projects for that day, including getting our city parks and streets cleaned up for winter. Originated by USA TODAY Weekend magazine, we are proud to be part of this outstanding project.
Keep Eau Claire Beautiful
The City of Eau Claire Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to help maintain public flower gardens and assist

promoting community pride through volunteerism.

Root for the Trees
Every time you plant a tree, you help improve our
environment. Each tree planted can have a positive impact on our city.
Trees shade our neighborhoods, capture particulate air pollution and
store carbons from emissions. Help beautify Eau Claire and encourage
your organization to volunteer for this project.
