Spring/Summer Reminders for City Residents
With the spring and summer season upon us, we would like to remind City residents of the following regulations:
- Please mow your lawn. Don’t let a complaint cost you $$!
City of Eau Claire property owners are required to remove/destroy weeds and cut the lawn below 7 inches. If the City receives a long-grass complaint against your property, you have 24 hours to take care of mowing.
The City of Eau Claire has an ordinance, which prohibits weeds and excessive lawn growth within the city limits. Chapter 8.28 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Eau Claire requires lawns to not exceed 7 inches in height, and weeds need to be removed or destroyed.
Leaving trash/furniture on your boulevard is a violation of City OrdinanceThe City of Eau Claire has an ordinance, which prohibits persons from placing material from their property into the street, alley, gutter, sidewalk, or public ground. Examples of such materials are as follows, but not limited to: snow, ice, grass clippings, leaves, ashes rubbish, paper or other such substances, which may obstruct or endanger travel.
